Katy E. Ellis

Poetry. Stories.

About

Katy’s poetry and fiction often look at how our modern city life connects (or doesn’t connect) to nature. Her poems have appeared in over twenty five literary journals in the United States and Canada, and her chapbook Urban Animal Expeditions (Dancing Girl Press) will appear in July 2012.  She also writes short stories, and is currently working on a novel. Her characters usually try to figure out how to define themselves in the world. For example, in her novel-in-progress, the main character, a temporary Seattle office worker, tries to decide what’s more important: reaching nirvana or getting a regular paycheck.
